i board 171 heading towards town and the first people my eyes fall on is this couple who are holding hands. they are seated in the two seats that face another two. i think, that's sweet (normally i don't because most people would be fawning all over each other, and it grosses me out.) i work my eyes up from their legs to their body language. their hands softly clasp the other, as if say that they would happen to lose everything if they let go. simply dressed couple, nothing too fancy. their bodies curled into one another, one resting quietly on the other's shoulder. both had peace written on their faces; an appreciation of the comfort provided. they were undisturbed; it seemed like everything was at ease in their world. then i saw and studied them again. they were both males. and i appreciated them even more.

what love there is when not even so accepted, that they flaunt it. it is love that is most forbidden to be most true.


i am struck by the lack of association. a happily stricken me.

this blog was relevant to a ms. valerie anne from when she was studying mass communications in a singapore polytechnic.
