question: how much of what we go through is actually worth the heartache after?on my way home, i see this bulky middle-aged man standing by the roadside, trying to hail the non-existant cab on the empty street. next to him is a petite lady dressed in simple red and heels carrying her office bag. it is obvious that these two are a couple going at each other, about ready to lunge at each other jaculars, and gleefully watch the blood spurt the life out of the other, or maybe it's just the man i'm talking about.
this show is on mute; from behind this plastic-glass window i watch, entertained.
he throws his hands up in exasperation, she tells him to cool it.
she walks off the curb to the walkway, refusing to argue with him and tired of the circumstances.
he grabs her arm, hard. she cringes. and drags her to stand next to him whilst he still tries to flag the non-existant cab on the empty road.
answer: not much, but tis a pity that many are blind.
