i'm on my way to ks's bash at sentosa, and i wait at the bus stop for the 61 that always takes forever to pick me up.
this NS guy i saw talking to a girl earlier is walking towards the bus stop. just then, i was actually thinking about another NS guy i know. well, that's besides the point.

anyway, NS guy comes up to me, book in hand and asks,

'hi, excuse me. can i borrow your pen to write something?'

i was actually writing something to mr. president, but that's another story for another time. so there i was, pen in hand, int he middle of my note and this guy walks in on my thoughts.
ok, average looking, speaks english, inunciated and clear. seems decent.
oh wait. i'm making assumptions! ahhh.. tabula rasa. it means clean slate. dwee taught us that today. don't jump if you don't want to fall over.

so, back to the NS guy.

'can i borrow your pen...'
'erm, sure.' i handed my thoughts over.
61 drives into the bus bay. my bus!
'...to write your number.'
?? huh? pretty slick. he definitely caught me off guard there.
'i don't think so, that's my bus.' i pointed at my salvation. saved!
he held onto my pen as i reached for it. for a moment i thought he wasn't going to give me my pen back!
'so let me give you your pen then.' well, geeee, thanks.

have i mentioned the kind of kooks i've been meeting lately?
but i gotta hand it to him. that was slick. slicker than the average kook. haha.
